Job overview

Are you looking for the next challenge on your leadership journey? Do you want to make a significant difference to the lives of children?

The Wroughton Primary Federation has an exciting opportunity for a school leader to take on the SENCo role, with Assistant Headteacher responsibility, from September 2019.

The school has recently appointed a new Executive Headteacher and the successful candidate will work in partnership with leaders across the Infant and Junior sites to take the federation forward on the next exciting stage of its journey.

As Assistant Headteacher you will work alongside the Heads of School on day to day aspects of school leadership. The responsibility for SEN means that you will co-ordinate the SEN provision throughout the school, providing advice, support and training to ensure the curriculum and teaching meet the needs of all children. The job is being advertised as a non-class teaching post however our SENCo leads group sessions with children as part of the provision mapping across the federation.

This post presents a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to move into a new senior leadership role or for someone who is an experienced leader looking for a new challenge and opportunity to make a difference.

The Wroughton Primary Federation is a large, three-form entry federation made up of Wroughton Infant School and Wroughton Junior School. The schools federated in January 2016. Since then the schools have come together to share resources, expertise and our mutual vision and commitments for the children within our community, of which we are all 'Proud to Belong'. At the Wroughton Primary Federation we work to ensure that no child is left behind and that the unique identity of both schools is protected, celebrated and valued for the contribution they make to ensuring children have the best education and experiences. We passionately believe that by working together, the children are able to have a higher quality of education that all children will benefit from and where no child is left behind.

The newly appointed SENCo will be at the heart of our vision to continue developing a thriving and collaborative learning community. If this opportunity excites you please get in touch to arrange a visit to the school.
