Job overview

We are seeking a thorough and efficient SEND Administrator at George Abbot School. The position is permanent and part-time (hours to be agreed) for 39 weeks per year (term time only). The successful candidate will provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to ensure the professional running of the SEND and Inclusion Team at George Abbot School. Your role will include maintenance of our SEND support list, scheduling and preparing paperwork for Annual Reviews for our students with EHCPs and liaising with external agencies under the direction of our SENCO.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and work with students and adults alike. You will be empathetic, believe in inclusion and be able to offer support and encouragement to students, fostering self-belief and developing resilience. You will be organised and able to adapt to change. Good ICT skills are required. You will join an experienced and friendly team of support staff who make an invaluable contribution to the running of the school.

George Abbot School is an 11–18, mixed comprehensive, situated on the north side of Guildford with an established reputation for high academic standards and exemplary pastoral care. George Abbot School is a forward thinking academy providing an inclusive education, for around 2,000 young people, aged 11-18. We are located in Burpham, Guildford with good transport links to the surrounding area.
