We are seeking an administrator, with skills in accuracy, attention to detail and positive customer service, and a commitment to inclusive education and SEND.

You will be supporting our pupils and parents/guardians to have their voice heard within statutory Annual Reviews, ensuring that these are appropriately scheduled and that the school's SENCo and relevant stakeholders have the right and accurate documentation for these meetings. You will have experience within an education or SEND setting, using your proficient organisational skills to ensure clear communication and advocacy for our SEND pupils.

Essential requirements to be successful in the role are:

  • An advocate for young people, with similar values to ours: Expect the very best from each other; Develop a strong work ethic; Respect and appreciate all difference; Include everyone and exclude no one; Listen to and involve everyone; Never give up on each other!
  • Relevant experience with education - preferably as an administrator as part of Annual Review processes.
  • An understanding of special educational needs and/or disability in children and young people.
  • Proficient IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office packages, and able to use these to schedule meetings and provide accessible documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and experience with customer service-facing roles.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with prior experience in data governance, compliance and dealing with processing confidential and sensitive data.
  • Proactive and innovative, collaborating with team members in other disciplines, whilst also with the ability to work flexibly and independently.

In return we offer:

  • Competitive salary & commission, and terms and conditions.
  • An opportunity to join a leading provider of specialist education in one of the most rewarding sectors whilst directly contributing to the positive outcomes for pupils with SEMH and ASC.
  • Comprehensive induction process, and excellent CPD opportunities with all staff provided an individual Learning & Development Plan to support career development. Regular half termly staff wellbeing days.
  • A range of employee support and wellbeing benefits including our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), counselling and contributions towards medical costs and an exclusive rewards platform.
  • Gym & Active Health discounts.

TCES National Online School (NOS), the first – and only – Department for Education accredited online special school, is a growing service provider across the UK, engaging with young learners virtually. These young people have lengthy gaps from formal education for a variety of reasons, with the majority displaying Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

This is a very exciting time in the development of the online school, recently nominated for several industry leading awards, including TES and NASEN Specialist Provision of the Year.

On joining us, pupils will have already – on average – experienced three permanent exclusions, been out of full-time education for up to 18 months and are recognised to be substantially at risk of being unemployed, developing severe mental health problems and involvement with the criminal justice system later in life. That is where the TCES National Online School comes in to support engagement with life-long learning, and development of independence and social skills so that our pupils become successful adults.
