Job overview

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher who:

  • Holds QTS
  • is self-motivated, resilient and flexible
  • has a secure knowledge and understanding of curriculums – including KS1/2 National Curriculum and/or EYFS framework requirements and the implications for pupils with disabilities and learning difficulties
  • is an outstanding practitioner who can deliver high quality of education for all pupils at school
  • can build effective, positive relationships and work collaboratively with all stakeholders including parents/carers, therapy teams and other specialist services to support the development of the pupils and ensure the best outcomes possible
  • enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of team of an exciting journey in setting up a new school

Hatchside School caters for pupils aged 2-7 years of age with a range of SEND and with a focus on high quality, multi-disciplinary assessment and early intervention.

We opened to pupils on Monday 26th April 2021 as part of Astrum Multi Academy Trust, complimenting Newbridge Lower and Upper Schools. Hatchside School will continue to increase in size during it's first 3 years, until it reaches its capacity of 64 pupils in September 2023.

We are a highly respected and forward thinking trust catering for pupils with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities across the London Borough of Redbridge and beyond.

Our vision is to create a partnership of outstanding special schools and provisions to support the SEND community in Redbridge and the surrounding areas to offer excellent opportunities for pupils and their families.
