The Governors seek to appoint a committed and well qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic SENDCO to our school. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding practitioner of quality first teaching of students with special educational needs and students with the lowest attainment on entry.

The successful candidate will develop an inspiring vision using the new SEND Framework and Code of Practice to support children with SEND to make excellent progress. This post offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our whole school and help shape and develop the department for the future. They will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is dedicated to being part of the school’s journey to being a great school by improving progress and attainment for all. You will have and set high standards and have the motivation and energy to inspire young people, with a determination to never settle for second best.

St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic High School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school without sixth form situated in Blackbrook, St Helens, Merseyside. It is a voluntary-aided state school under the Diocese of Liverpool. 

St Augustine of Canterbury opened in October 1991. A smaller than average secondary school, it provides 750 places for students between the ages of 11 and 16 when fully subscribed.
