SEND Exams Assessment and Engagement TA3

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an SEND Exams Assessment and Engagement TA to join our fantastic team at MEA Central.

This is a Grade 4, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting pro-rata salary is £19,176. The full time equivalent salary is £22,369.

Main purpose of the job:

Under the guidance of the SENCO and the Teacher, the SEND Exams Assessment and Engagement TA will take responsibility for addressing the needs of students with additional needs for them to be able to access assessment, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

Key skills and experience:

This post holder will work within the remit of the Teaching Assistant Level 3 job description, with a particular focus on:

·        Administering and assessing routine tests and invigilating exams.

·        Implementing agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs, including assessment.

·        Assisting pupils to access learning activities through specialist support.

Key relationships:

All members of staff (Teaching, Safeguarding team, Pastoral team, SENCO, SLT), students, governors, and parents.
