Job overview

Belmont is a popular and successful primary school in Harrow. The school has undergone a dynamic period of growth and development and will open its newly modelled specialist provision, Stargazers, this Autumn.

This is an exciting opportunity. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated professional to help us realise our vision for tailored and integrated specialist provision in our mainstream school. The role will involve supporting pupils aged 3-11 with an ECHP for Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism and other complex needs.

You will have previous experience of working in specialist provision and be leading or looking to lead our new Stargazers team of dedicated teaching and support staff.

Part of your role will involve supporting colleagues across the school to plan and deliver learning tailored to the individual needs of SEND pupils with Education & Healthcare Plans for severe learning difficulties (SLD) accessing mainstream as well as the school’s specialist provision.

You will be working in partnership with a range of professionals and parents to develop transition, as well as planning and delivering CPD for staff. You must enjoy working as part of a committed and ambitious team of professionals, have a high level resilience and a good sense of humour.
