Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Trust as a full-time SEND Lead. The successful candidate will have a minimum qualification of a Graduate Certificate, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience working in special education needs and disabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the provision of support for students with special educational needs and disabilities, working with all of the schools within The Forge Brook Trust, ensuring that they receive appropriate interventions to help them achieve their full potential.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification of Graduate Certificate
- At least 5 years of experience in special educational needs and disabilities
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders
- Experience in developing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
