SEND Learning Assistant (Key Stage One)
Fixed Term until 25 July 2017
32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)
£15,807 - £16,491 (£11,815 – £13,284 pro rata)

We are seeking an positive and calm Learning Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Key Stage One at the Mansfield Primary Academy.
Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. This will include working with small groups and on a one to one basis.
- have a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
- be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- be able to inspire and engage children
- possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies
- preferably have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- have knowledge of the Key Stage One curriculum
Previous experience of working in a similar role or in a school setting as well as holding a First Aid certificate would be advantageous.
