Are you passionate about supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of learners with SEND?
We are looking a full-time, permanent teacher to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. Our department delivers a range of courses that support learners with SEND to develop skills including independent living skills, communication, personal development, employability, vocational and enterprise. A commitment to working with young people/adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work.
These posts will involve developing student’s communication, independence, employability and life skills. An interest and commitment to personalised learning, a student-centred approach and experience of working with young people and adults with learning disabilities is essential.
You will also be required to deliver the curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, communicating effectively with students and parents/carers as appropriate and providing learners with appropriate tutorial support in accordance with the programme and individual requirements.
