The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an insightful, experienced and highly organised SEND manager to join our Special Education and Inclusive Intervention Service (SEIIS). The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring the SEN team meets their responsibilities under the CFA 2014, providing a service of the highest standards which improves outcomes for children young people with SEND. A service that works systematically with professionals and where parents and carers are able to fully involved at an operational and strategic level. You will responsible for the SEN Team which includes, SEN Senior Officers, Assessment and Case Coordinators, Case Support Officers, Annual Review Assistant and supported employment officers. The role includes work at an operational level as well as a strategic level with opportunities to develop and influence approaches and pathways for children and young people with SEND.

About you
To be considered for this exciting opportunity the successful candidate will be Degree educated or possess significant equivalent experience in a similar post alongside evidence of continued professional development. As the SEN Manager you will be a resilient, tactical and highly skilled communicator who has the highest of ambitions for children and young people with SEND and their families. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who is a courageous, questioning, challenging and solution focused influencer. You will utilise your analytical and political acumen to enable you to identify what works and implement the necessary changes to improve quality and outcomes.
