Job overview

Vision for Education, the supply arm of TES and leading education recruitment specialist, is looking to recruit a passionate and inspiring Primary School Teacher on behalf of a local Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Peterborough to teach primary-aged pupils with Autism (ASD/ASC) and Asperger’s Syndrome.

The school were graded as ‘Good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection and are always striving to be the centre of excellence for educating students with ASD. The curriculum is designed to a high standard by including specialist approaches and meeting requirements of the National Curriculum.  In addition, an equal focus is placed on ensuring that all pupils are prepared to get the upmost best out of their lives outside of the school environment, as well as enhancing the developing of pupil’s social communication skills and confidence.

This role does require the ideal candidate to have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and be primary-trained. Experience of working with pupils with Autism is adventurous too. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher who wishes to work in a rewarding environment or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking for an exciting position. The position will incorporate planning and marking, and involve you teaching a range of lessons to students with Autism in an engaging and creative manner.

What the school can offer you:

· Being part of a committed staff team who are dedicated to ensuring pupils are prepared for the years beyond education.

· Access to a variety of learning opportunities and CPD, including training courses.

· Being part of a welcoming and stimulating learning experience for all pupils.

What we offer at Vision for Education:

Ø Excellent and transparent rates of pay.

Ø Consistent seminars and training courses such as Team Teach, Moving & Handling Autism Awareness (paid for by Vision) to continue your individual professional development.

Ø Generous Refer a Friend Scheme.

Ø Dedicated team that work with our supply staff to place them in schools and locations that suit them.

Ø Wages paid directly into your bank account every week via PAYE (not through an umbrella company)

Ø We are an agency that won't charge your school a fee should they wish to offer you a permanent contract; we won't stand in the way of your career.

To apply, you must be eligible to work in the UK and meet all national safeguarding criteria. Simply click on the Apply button, or contact Lauren Bates at Vision for Education’s Peterborough branch for more information on 01733 371 371 or lauren.bates@visionforeducation.com
