WORKING PATTERN: 35 Hours per week (8:00am – 3:30 pm) term time + 1 week

Are you a highly organised, and capable administrator with the ability to hit the ground running and deliver a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment? Could you play a key role supporting our SENDCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead with the provision of an efficient and accurate administrative service within our friendly school?

You will be located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of general administration duties in support of the activities of the SENDCo, DSL and the SEND and Safeguarding teams including typing letters, arranging meetings, keeping records relating to students, dealing with queries, updating the school’s management information systems, SIMS and CPOMS. In addition, you will take a lead in the administration of medicines and other general administrative support. You will spend some of your time providing other general administrative support to the school, working on reception and providing first aid for staff and students on a rota basis.

 You should:

  • Have experience of working in an administrative role.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, being able to communicate at all levels.
  • Be able to prioritise workload, multi-task and keep calm under pressure
  • Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative
  • Have excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SIMS and CPOMS would be an advantage.
  • Have the ability to work on your own and as part of a team in a busy school environment.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
