Nightingale Primary is a warm, inclusive two-form entry school in the heart of vibrant Upper Clapton, where every child—and every member of staff—truly matters. At the heart of our inclusion is our additionally resourced provision (ARP) for autism, supporting 13 children across two classes: The Nest and Treetops. Pupils learn through a highly personalised curriculum, delivered in light-filled, calm classrooms designed specifically for their needs.
As our ARP teacher you would provide leadership and inspiration for the ARP. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of ARP learning support assistants, with the full backing of our SENDCo and senior leadership team. We genuinely look after our teachers—off-site PPA is the norm if you want it, and we're serious about protecting your work-life balance.
We're looking for someone who:
Brings significant experience from a specialist setting, ARP, or mainstream SEND role, and can confidently teach across both our Nest and Treetops classes
Stays calm under pressure and approaches challenges with flexible thinking and kindness
Communicates with empathy and warmth, building strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider team
Leads with a light touch—motivating their team through encouragement and, yes, a sense of humour!
Has current experience teaching the National Curriculum in a UK school and the right to work in the UK

About Nightingale Primary School
Nightingale Primary School has recently moved into a state-of-the-art new building in the heart of Hackney Central. Close to the vibrant areas of Lower Clapton Road and Stoke Newington, our school has proudly served our local community for over 40 years.
