SEND Support Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to join our friendly and hardworking team as a SEND support assistant. This is a full time post, directly supporting the work of the academy inclusion leader. It would suit someone who has experience of working with children as a learning mentor or of supporting children with SEND. West Town Primary Academy is a vibrant and happy place to work where all of the staff are dedicated to the support of our fantastic and eager to learn children. 

The ideal candidate will be able to work under the direction of the Principal/ Inclusion Leader to

• Work closely with the SENDCO, Principal and teaching staff to ensure the positive progress and outcomes for children with special educational needs and other vulnerable pupils.

• Work directly with targeted pupils to raise achievement and ensure that their needs are known and met.

• Provide specific support for children who have an EHCP
