Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience supporting SEND pupils.

Vision for Education recruiting on behalf of a SEN in Hull who are seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistants on a Full Time basis. The role will commence in January 2022

The role

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be tasked with working on a 1:1 support, with occasional small group support made up of students aged 11-16. Working under the direction of the class teacher, the ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will be energetic, flexible, positive and patient, with an ability to build strong working relationships with young people. 

The school

This is an OFSTED 'Good' graded SEN school that caters mainly for pupils with Physical Disability and those with Severe Learning Difficulties. Located to the west of central Hull there are excellent public transport links. 

Requirements

To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant role you must:

• Have a minimum of GCSE qualifications, a CACHE level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desireable.

  • Have recent experience of supporting young people in an education or care capacity

• Have a genuine desire to support young people with SEN.
