Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Full time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in the Newcastle area.

This is a large school, where progression of pupils is good and both the leadership team and teachers cater well to children needs. The school is looking for a committed and successful practitioner to join their motivated team in January 2019.

The successful Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and ideally will have worked with children with SEND including behavioural difficulties. This position will be on a one-to-one basis, working with a Reception aged pupil. The suitable candidate will be working closely with the SENDCO to deliver the best possible care for the child you will be responsible for. This position will be full time, working 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday.

To be considered for the position of Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant you must:

• Have experience supporting children in primary education in Early Years and specifically with SEND

• Hold a Level 3 qualification or above in childcare

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary School Staff

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
