Birchfield School is a thriving rural preparatory and senior school located in Albrighton, near Wolverhampton. With over a 85 year history of academic excellence, we offer an exceptional and affordable education for boys and girls from Reception through to Year 11, supported by a comprehensive GCSE programme.

Our idyllic countryside setting creates a calm and inspiring environment for learning, while our strong community ethos ensures every child is nurtured and known. We welcome families from a wide catchment area, including Shropshire, Staffordshire, and the West Midlands, and pride ourselves on being a warm, family-focused school where pupils flourish both academically and personally.

High standards in teaching and behaviour underpin our success. Teachers deliver well-planned, engaging lessons and provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of each pupil. Those with high prior attainment are challenged with tasks that promote independent thinking and academic growth.

Pupils are respectful, well-behaved, and work collaboratively, creating a positive and inclusive school culture. Leaders are deeply committed to pupil wellbeing and have carefully developed a curriculum that reflects the school’s inclusive values and growing senior school provision.

At Birchfield, we are more than just a school—we are a community that celebrates achievement, supports individual potential, and prepares pupils for a confident and successful future.
