Vision for Education are seeking to appoint an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to work within one of our Primary school establishments in the South Gloucester area. This position is set to commence immediately, working full time between the hours of 08:30-15:30. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
The role
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working within Early Years and supporting children with diverse needs. This role would be to work closely with a child with Autism, supporting them on a 1:1 basis within the classroom. The candidate needs to be confident in supporting the child and be able to provide excellent provision and teaching to help them feel comfortable and safe within the class. Furthermore, the school would ideally like someone with Read, Write, Inc experience, although this is not essential.

The school is a large primary school set in South Gloucester, within easy commuting distance to Bristol, access to parking and public transport.

Requirements
To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant position, you will:
• Have had experience of supporting children with diverse needs.
• Be creative and enthusiastic towards delivering learning to the children.
• Hold a minimum of Level 2 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (not essential).
• Ideally have experience of delivering Read, Write, Inc Phonics.
• Experience of putting provisional learning plans into place.
• Extensive knowledge of the curriculum.
