Experienced SEND Tutor – Coventry Area

Chalkline Education is growing, and we are looking for experienced, high-quality SEND Tutors to deliver impactful 1:1 support to learners aged 11–16 across Coventry. About the Role


You will work with pupils who may be out of mainstream education or require additional support linked to SEMH, ASD, ADHD or MLD. Your sessions will focus on building confidence, engagement and academic progress through personalised, in-person teaching. Primarily covering Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 sessions based on each learner’s needs and goals

  • Plan engaging lessons and set clear SMART targets

  • Monitor and record progress using our simple cloud-based system

  • Work closely with parents, carers, schools and other professionals

  • Teach in local settings across Coventry, including homes, schools and community venues

  • Sessions run weekdays between 08:30 and 16:30 (term time only)

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teachers, Tutors, or experienced Teaching Assistants (minimum Level 3 teaching qualification required)

  • Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive teaching approaches

  • Experience supporting learners with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or MLD

  • Confident, creative and adaptable planning skills

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  • Own laptop and ability to travel locally
