We are currently seeking a SEND Tutor to join our dedicated team at our Bournemouth Centre based in Boscombe. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of SEND, a flexible and learner-centred approach, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Job Description
Prepare course/training materials
Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner
Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria
Complete learner and deliver paperwork as required promptly
Teach wellbeing awareness
To attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC
To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings
To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed
To be aware of individual learners’ risk assessments and needs
Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Essential:
Recognised teaching qualification
Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent/ GCSE level 4)
Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties
Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
Desirable:

Good communication and calculation skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills
Effectively supervise students both in college and outside the centre, adhering to the behavior policy.

Ability to support learners with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
