We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and passionate SENDCO to lead and manage the provision for students with special educational and additional needs, providing professional guidance in the area of SEND. You will have a proven record of impact regarding SEND and success in achieving progress for disadvantaged students as well as strategic vision and commitment. You will be ambitious for our students and take SEND provision at IES Breckland to the next level.

Our SEND department is experienced, well established and has an excellent reputation within the school and local community for its provision for our most vulnerable students. You will be required to provide leadership to ensure high quality learning and effective use of resources to improve outcomes and achievements for all students, ensuring that all legal obligations are met in accordance with statutory practice. You will ensure high standards of achievement and progress for all students with SEND and support the delivery of high quality inclusive teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Breckland School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school in Brandon, Suffolk. It is run by Sabres Educational Trust.

There are 550 students on the school roll, aged from 11 to 16, expected to grow to 600 in a few years. Breckland School has well-established links with local primary schools and post-16 providers. The school offers a variety of enrichment activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award, as well as local, national and international trips and visits.
