Your new school

Gretton School is an independent specialist school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, specifically high functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. We welcome students from 5—19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day students. Based just outside Cambridge, we work with 12 counties to provide a broad and individualised education for these unique and wonderful students.

Your new role 

We require an experienced SENCO / SEN Coordinator to work as part of our team to support our students in accessing all aspects of the curriculum. This position is a permanent role to start in September 2019. 

What you'll need to succeed 

  • Ability to effectively support and advise colleagues 
  • Awareness of child protection issues 
  • Proven SENCO experience in the UK, or equivalent (essential) 
  • SENCO qualification (desirable)  
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills 
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks

Gretton School is a specialist day and residential school for children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC), specifically high functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.

The school provides individually tailored programmes of education, care and therapy for students between the ages of 5 and 19 years old.
