SENDCo
Full time / Part time applications considered.
Hinchingbrooke School is a vibrant and inclusive community that serves the Huntingdonshire area. In recent years our provision for SEND students has been significantly developed and improved. The School benefits from support from the Trust Director of SEND and has a team of highly qualified and committed Teaching Assistants with expertise in a range of SEND needs. We have a large, modern SEND Hub within school that is called ‘Basecamp’ and serves to support students with a range of needs.
Our current SENDCo is retiring and we are looking for a permanent replacement to help us continue our SEND journey. We need someone who is energetic, experienced and highly committed to join our amazing team. We want all our students to have the best possible educational experiences and start in life. If that is your goal for young people also then this might be the role for you.
If you are interested in finding out more about this role or would like to have an initial conversation then please contact the Director of SEND – REB@ACESAcademies.co.uk
Fully qualified SENDCO status, with a completed SENDCO Award, would be an advantage.

About Hinchingbrooke School
A mixed, large 11 to 18 Secondary school, in beautiful grounds on the edge of Huntingdon next to Hinchingbrooke Country Park.
Our Mission is to provide a high-quality education for all our students, so that they learn and achieve well, and develop as well-rounded young people who are ready to take the next steps in their own personal learning journey.
Our values
We value: Hard work, High standards, and Kindness.
Our 3 Key focuses
1. This is how we learn well
2. This is how we teach and
3. This is how we behave
At Hinchingbrooke, we believe it is the quantity and the quality of what we know that largely determines how ‘clever’ we are. We believe in explicit teaching of the powerful knowledge that young people need to thrive in the world of the 21stCentury; this is why we have the Hinchingbrooke Approach to Teaching.
We believe in a ‘Warm-Strict’ approach to behaviour. Great behaviour is the best foundation for great learning; this is why we have the Hinchingbrooke Approach to Behaviour.
We are interested in recruiting teachers who embrace the professional obligation to continuously improve their teaching. In return, we offer a supportive and highly collaborative environment where you can make a difference to the lives of our wonderful young people.
