Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy in a beautiful part of the country and is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated professional, with drive and ambition to play an important role in our unique school. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with the ability to inspire staff and students to achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate will also play an important role in leading the SEND team to ensure the academic and pastoral needs of all SEND students are met.
- Lead and develop the SEND team with a strategic overview, including policy writing, planning, and supporting other staff.
- Liaise with staff, parents, and outside agencies to support the progress of our SEND pupils.
- Prepare and manage statutory EHCP paperwork, ensuring timely completion and full compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
- Organise and manage annual reviews.
- Monitor and review the quality of SEND provision across the school, identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical solutions.
- Provide regular reports to the senior leadership team on the progress and performance of SEND pupils.
- Ensure effective teaching and learning for SEND pupils.
- Contribute to the safeguarding of all pupils, especially those with SEND.
