Vision for Education, part of the TES group, are proud to be working with this good sized comprehensive boys school, providing education to aprox. 900 students ageing from 11-19 years. They have a mixed sixth form which offers a wide range of academic and vocational provisions carefully matched to the needs and aspirations of their students. Progression figures show that this schools pupils are among the most likely to progress into FE or apprentiships in the north west. 

The school is highly regarded for its provision for pupils with special educational needs. Ofsted 2016 stated that “the achievement of pupils who have special educational needs is good. Strong leadership and good support from additional staff have ensured that these pupils make good progress

This school has a warm and caring ethos and they foster a sense of ambition for their pupils. This again was a strength identified by Ofsted inspectors who reported that “Relationships are strong. Staff are ambitious for their pupils and determined in their aim to get the best for each one academically and personally” 

The successful candidate will have either a SENDCo qualification, or recent experience working as a SENDCO in a mainstream or special school. To succeed in this role you must be an exceptional classroom practitioner, with the ability to lead, Motivate and inspire staff and students. The school will support you in whatever way they can and offer an exceptional CPD programme to all members of staff.
