Heworth Grange School  is an 11-18 school of approximately 1100 students.  We are committed to achieving the maximum success for all our students and staff through creativity, innovation and personalisation.  This post presents an excellent opportunity for a talented professional with proven management and leadership skills to lead a small team of dedicated professionals.

The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed colleague with excellent interpersonal skills who is an advocate of inclusive practice and demonstrates a good working knowledge of SEND legislation and the role of SENDCO. A key member of the schools Inclusion Support Team, the successful applicant will be expected to lead a dedicated and committed department and through the effective use of resources available deliver the highest standards of teaching, learning and achievement for all students. 

The successful candidate will have:

• The ability to inspire staff and students to further improve the quality of learning and teaching

• the ability to forge productive partnerships with multi-agencies, parents and carers;

• a proven record of success as a practitioner and team leader
