Are you able to inspire pupils and staff to think differently about pupils with SEMH? Are you able to unlock the potential of the most vibrant pupils the education system has to offer? Then our super heroes - big and small, need you!

The Imperium Federation is a hard federated, maintained group of SEMH/ASD schools - primary, secondary and outreach, who offer outstanding education to pupils with SEMH and ASD needs. We cover the entire spectrum of behaviour and mental health and support our colleagues both within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and beyond in ensuring that pupils get the best possible provision.

We have high expectations and standards and are looking for a committed SENDCo to come and join our supportive team.

We can’t say that the role will be easy, but it will be one of the most rewarding opportunities you will have undertaken.

If you would like to know more about us and what we can offer, then please visit our websites or drop an email to organise a conversation and a visit.

The imperium Federation (Waterside and King’s Oak Schools) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff/volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks. References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Waterside is a Social Emotional and Behavioural Special Primary School (SEBD) , that aims to offer each and every super hero an opportunity to develop their talents and interests, celebrate their communities and ensure that they have the skills necessary to embrace the world and succeed.

There are three distinct sections to Waterside – Outreach, Nest and the School.

Outreach

We have a highly experienced team who, following a referral from one of our partner schools within the borough, will support both the pupil and school in dealing with any difficulties they may have.

Our team help with the following:

• behaviour management

• combating disaffection

• SEN, SEBD

• learning efficiency and behaviour policy

• classroom management and behavioural management analysis

• INSET

• staff support

• NQT training

• Restraint/Handling training

This work is closely monitored and we hope that this short term intervention will support the pupil and their school.

Nest Provision

Sometimes schools may exclude a pupil due to their behaviour. We understand that this is distressing for the pupil, their family and the school, but we work with all parties to ensure that the pupil is prepared and able to return to their school.

Waterside

Sometimes, after all the interventions have been put in place, mainstream primary school just does not work for that pupil. In that case, and following a statement of educational need, they may be admitted to the main school.

We aim to provide quality learning experiences for our children - learning which is structured, balanced and relevant to the child. We aim to provide a safe and secure environment in which your child feels happy, confident and stimulated to learn whilst having fun.
