This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SENDCO to join our team.
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced SENDCo to fully support the Headteacher and be part of the Senior Leadership of St Peter’s Catholic Primary School.

In this non-class based role, you will be responsible for continuing strong SEND provision and its development across the school as well as contributing to overall leadership of the school.

As a key member of our diverse school community, you will uphold our Catholic ethos and develop strong working relationships with parents staff and governors. We put high quality inclusion at the centre of what we do. The role will provide a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to help shape the direction of the school, further develop our SEND provision and be part of our leadership team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Supports the Catholic ethos of our school
- Has at least 2 years’ experience as a SENDCo
- Holds QTS and a minimum of an undergraduate degree
- Holds the National Award SENCO Qualification
- Is passionate about developing our school
- Develops strong working relationships with parents and outside agencies
- Understands the importance of data as a tool to track pupil progress
- Has experience of leadership at a middle or senior level
- Can demonstrate recent and outstanding understanding of the current SEN developments, theory and provision
- Has experience of identification, curricular planning and progress monitoring of students with SEND
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is a team player and can develop effective relationship with colleagues, pupils, parents and governors
- Understands the Annual Review and statutory assessment processes
- Is able to create bespoke packages that sometimes require a creative approach, to meet the independent needs of learners.
