SENDCO Lead Practitioner

The governors of this ambitious Catholic school wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational SENDCO Lead Practitioner. We are seeking candidates of the highest calibre to lead the school’s SEND provision. The person appointed will be able to demonstrate experience of the SENDCO role, excellence in their own teaching, as well as outstanding success in leading others. The role would suit an experienced SENDCO who is looking to progress their career and contribute to the school’s whole-school aims. If you are interested in developing professionally and can validate relevant experience this post offers a great opportunity to work in a school where pupil behaviour is very good.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner
• Possess strong knowledge of the SEND system in secondary schools
• Be able to demonstrate success in leading others
• Have the confidence and professional credibility to support others
• Understand the power of data to analyse performance and manage interventions
• Be knowledgeable in the latest developments in the field of SEND
