About us
We are a thriving Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) academy in Oakley Vale, Corby. A new-build opening in 2014, we are an innovative and inclusive academy for children aged 3–11 and are led by a Primary Principal.
We offer a warm and friendly environment that delivers an engaging curriculum to pupils from Nursery to Year 6. Ofsted rated the Academy as ‘Outstanding’ in July 2015. We are proud of our pupils, who are expected to work hard and give their best. In return, the staff team is committed to planning and teaching high-quality lessons that are purposeful and build on pupils’ knowledge and skills, utilising the excellent school grounds and making the most of IT and Microsoft 365 in teaching and learning.
Our dedicated team of staff and the wider trust have one end goal – to enable every child in our academy to be the best that they can be. Children are at the heart of everything we do. Our children are polite, work hard and are well-behaved. Classrooms are well-resourced, and the environment and building are maintained to a high standard.
We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum to our children and take pride in developing well-rounded children who aspire to be the best they can be. Our initiatives and decisions are all empowered by high-quality research. We value Curriculum Professional Development to move all staff, no matter their role, to become the best version of themselves on their career journeys.
We warmly welcome potential candidates to come on what we refer to as a ‘Walk and Talk’. This usually takes less than an hour and can be during the academy day or after school has finished. We find this provides a great opportunity for candidates to get a really good insight into Corby Primary Academy prior to submitting an application. Please email kfoley@corbyprimaryacademy.org if you would like to come in for a ‘Walk and Talk’.
In return
