‘Pupils enjoy coming to this exceptional school. It puts pupils’ learning at the centre of everything it does.’

Ofsted, 2024

We are seeking a committed, resilient and driven SENDCo to join our exceptional school and lead on SEND and inclusion at an exciting point in our development. This is a demanding but deeply rewarding role, requiring a professional who is both strategic and compassionate. This role will suit a SENDCo who understands the realities of the position and is motivated by impact, advocacy and improving life chances for children with SEND.

We are looking for a SEND Champion who:

  • Believes unequivocally that all children deserve the very best, regardless of their needs or barriers to learning

  • Is brave, resilient and solution focused, able to navigate challenge, complexity and competing pressures

  • Is experienced in working closely with parents, building strong, trusting partnerships – even in difficult circumstances

  • Can work effectively with a wide range of external agencies and professionals

  • Has a strong understanding of SEND funding, and can advise strategically on the effective use of resources

  • Is confident in lone working, managing a high level of administration, paperwork and statutory processes with accuracy and professionalism

  • Has a secure understanding of data and assessment, and knows how to use this to drive progress and improve outcomes

  • Has excellent organisational skills and a positive, pragmatic ‘can do’ attitude

  • Is an excellent communicator, able to influence, support and challenge appropriately

  • Is adaptable and excited by opportunities for collaboration within a Primary MAT

In return, we offer:
  • The chance to work within a strong, caring and committed staff team who value inclusion

  • The opportunity to undertake the National SENDCo Qualification (NASENCO)

  • Professional trust, support and the opportunity to make a genuine, lasting difference

  • Enthusiastic, well-behaved and motivated pupils who are a joy to work with

  • An extremely engaged and supportive community

  • A warm, contemporary working environment set in a beautiful location
