The Role
The SENDCo will play a lead role in upholding the aims and ethos of the college, in which every individual is treated with dignity and respect and the safety and welfare of children and young people is paramount.
The SENDCo should carry out professional duties in accordance with and subject to conditions of employment as set out in their contract. Strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEND) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement.
About You
The successful candidate will be expected to lead, develop and support effective practice for pupils with particular learning needs to ensure they are addressed in the most effective way. They will be responsible for ensuring that pupils with SEND make rapid progress in line with the academy’s expectations.
