SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) - 2 days a week

St Martin’s School and Nursery

St Martin’s School and Nursery is seeking a passionate SENDCo (2 days a week) to champion the needs of all learners and join our caring, child-centred community.

Our children are curious, enthusiastic, and thrive in an environment where every individual is nurtured and supported to flourish. As SENDCo, you will play a vital role in shaping inclusive practice, working closely with pupils, families, staff, and external professionals to ensure that all children – including those with SEND – reach their full potential.

We are proud of our strong family ethos and inclusive culture, and we’re looking for a candidate who shares our commitment to high expectations, meaningful relationships, and tailored support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about removing barriers to learning and who is confident in leading whole-school strategies for SEND.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and develop the provision for children with SEND across the school and nursery
  • Identify, assess, and monitor pupil needs, creating and reviewing high-quality support plans
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure classroom practice is inclusive and ambitious
  • Coordinate EHCP applications and liaise with external agencies
  • Contribute to staff training and development in areas related to SEND and inclusion
  • Be a visible advocate for every child’s right to succeed

We offer:

  • Happy, motivated pupils who love to learn
  • Small class sizes (maximum 18) for more focused teaching and support
  • A strong, collaborative staff team with a shared commitment to inclusive education
  • Independent school term-times (circa 17 weeks’ holiday)
  • A forward-thinking approach to curriculum and inclusion

Whether you’re an experienced SENDCo or an aspiring one ready for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.
