Contract:        Full time Permanent

Hours:            37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum (term time plus one week) Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am – 3:30pm.

Salary:            Pathway 3 Points 9-13 £20,071.73 - £21,589.62 per annum (FTE £23,194 - £24,948)

The Role

Thomas Deacon Academy is looking to recruit an Senior ADIT Technician. The successful candidate will support the needs of the Art, Design Technology and ICT department.

The Successful candidate Organise and adapt where necessary, in consultation with Subject Leads for Arts, DT and ICT/CS (SLs) and HOD, the timetable for ADIT technicians. As well as Organise and deploy, in consultation with SLs and absent teaching staff, ADIT cover work and collect said work, returning to a safe place for collection by absent staff on return.

The Person

You will:

·       Have a practical background, with appropriate licences/qualifications

·       Understanding of the needs of a department delivering practical subjects in a busy Academy

·       Experience of working with a variety of practical materials and associated equipment

·       Have ability to use own initiative to prioritise and organise conflicting ongoing and immediate demands in a pressurised environment
