Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our bustling school office. You will undertake a range of duties associated with the school’s front-of-house and finance functions, ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided.

This will involve first-contact responses to parents and visitors to the school office, as well as on the phone and via email, recording and monitoring pupil absences, and updating electronic and manual records, as well as other general administrative duties. You will have excellent communication skills, be confident in handling enquiries from a wide range of people at all levels and be able to convey information accurately and clearly.

Previous experience within a school environment is desirable, together with competency in using a variety of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of SIMS (or similar school management systems) is desirable. You must be able to work in a methodical and efficient manner and be a great team player with a flexible “can and will do” work ethic.

This is a term-time-only role to cover a period of maternity leave.
