A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, organised and motivated  Senior Administrator to join our high-performing trust. This would be suitable for somebody with either administrative or events experience with a desire to progress.

The Outwood Institute of Education strives to ensure the best outcomes for children in all schools. The Outwood Institute of Education work closely with Outwood Grange Academies Trust teams. It hosts a wide range of events, training and conferences for all OGAT academies and external customers across Yorkshire and Humber and the North East.

The successful candidate will be mainly based at the Outwood Institute of Education offices at Outwood Academy Adwick and will manage the events and administration for this venue, however will be expected to support events at other Tees Valley venues as required.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to senior members of the team (with a focus on our teacher training and early career teacher programmes) and will work closely with the OIE Manager to provide support across the Trust. This will involve a range of activities, including:

  • Event management
  • Management of office calendar
  • Supporting events/recruitment for our teacher training and early career teacher programme 
  • Offering pastoral support to our trainees and early career teachers
  • Resource preparation
  • Management of UCAS systems
  • Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders both in verbal and written form.
  • Marketing in various forms as well as website and social media

You will need to be motivated, have excellent organisation and communication skills and be able to prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Normal working hours are 10.30am – 6.30pm Monday and Wednesday, 7.30am – 3.30pm Tuesday and Thursday and 9.00am – 4.30pm on a Friday. You will, however, be required to work occasional Saturdays with prior notice and discussion of availability. Term time only plus 10 days.

The successful candidate will be based at Outwood Institute of Education (Yorkshire and Humber)

Outwood Conference Centre,  Tenter Balk Lane,  Adwick,  Doncaster, DN6 7EQ although you will sometimes be required to provide support across different academies across the Trust.

The inspectors were equally complimentary about our sixth form provision, with a wide range of courses on offer; including A Levels, vocational qualifications and T-levels.

We have also won numerous awards as a school and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award, in addition to being an IQM Centre of Excellence for 3 years, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status.
