Senior Care Worker – Adult Services
Location: Underley Garden, Kirkby Lonsdale
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for an Adult Services Senior Care Worker to join the team at Underley Garden.
About the School
The adults who attend Underley Garden all have special educational needs. Underley meets the needs of a range of SEN including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health & Medical needs and related behavioural difficulties.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Care Worker to work in our Adult Services at Underley Garden who will achieve the highest standards of care for the young adults in our care who have challenging and complex needs.

Who we are looking for

You will be a responsible, friendly and an organised person who has a passion for caring and providing an excellent professional service to staff and the young adults in our care.
To be a member of the Adult Care Services operational staff team and assist in the everyday care, education and treatment of young adults with complex learning needs
Provide a secure, stable and supportive environment within the homes
That the young adults may live safely and work towards achieving their potential
Dealing with both internal and external professionals and parents / carers and attending meetings when required
Diploma L3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to achieve
Excellent organisation skills
Good communication skills
Compassionate – good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with adults along with other staff remaining sensitive and empathetic
Intuitive and caring nature
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the adults
