Scale SO1, point 29 – 31 (£27,801 - £29,517 per annum, payable pro-rata)

36 hours per week, term time only

We are looking for an experienced & highly motivated Senior Cover Supervisor to manage short & long term cover for all staff absence, providing fair and effective allocation of cover at all times. This is a key role in the school to ensure that pupils’ learning is not disrupted by staff absence. This role will also be required to supervise whole classes during the short term absence of class teachers (under the guidance of teaching staff), to include implementing lesson plans and / or schemes of learning, managing pupil behaviour and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the School’s policies and procedures. 

Successful candidates will have a minimum GCSE A*- C in English and Mathematics (or equivalent), and demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a clear understanding of pedagogy. Experience of working as a Cover Supervisor in a previous role would be an advantage. The postholder must be able to start work no later than 7.30am.
