Senior Curriculum Leader – Skills

37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful colleges in Wales. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experience Senior Curriculum Leader to lead and inspire the maths and English delivery team. To ensure the team provide excellence in teaching, learning and assessment and an outstanding learning experience for learners. 

The success of learner and the drive for continual improvement will be your key driver.

You will be part of the department of Skills reporting directing to the Head of Skills; however, the role is to manage the English and maths provision for all of the two campuses as an integral part of the learner’s programme of study.

In addition to this, you will be the college lead for GCSE English. 

You will be accountable for the success of English and maths delivery team. This success will be measured through high success rates, high quality teaching and learning, learner satisfaction surveys and working with individuals to work towards achievement of English and maths to support individual progression plans. You will be responsible for carry out observations with your team in line with the Teaching and Learning Policy, staff appraisals and development 

The post will require you to take on and work with the college’s strategic plan; working with professionalism, taking responsibility for your actions, and giving respect to colleagues and learners alike.
