Senior Curriculum Manager Leadership & Management

£47,188 per annum 

Ardleigh Green Campus 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Curriculum Manager to be responsible for a range of adult, apprenticeship and commercial courses in our Business Department. Reporting to the Group Curriculum Director Business, Senior Curriculum Managers are second tier managers within our Faculty structure.  The core purpose of a Senior Curriculum Manager is to drive up standards and ensure an excellent student experience. You will have teaching responsibilities and will be expected to carry out line-management duties and classroom observations.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with experience and knowledge to grow our adult, commercial and apprenticeship provision at our Ardleigh Green Campus and to work with the Deputy Curriculum Director to support this growth across the directorate at our other campuses. 

You will have experience of developing high quality full and part-time adult courses and apprenticeship standards that lead to high-achievement rates for students. Experience of developing and implementing commercial courses is desirable for this position.  The area is diverse and has a range of programmes from AAT, Legal Secretary courses, HR, ILM courses and Business Administration. We are interested in applicants that have experience of delivering successful blended learning models. 

It is essential that candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, are teacher trained and would be desirable to have both management and teaching experience in this curriculum area.

About New City College Havering - Ardleigh Green Campus

Havering College of Further and Higher Education College and Havering Sixth Form College are now part of the New City College Group. 

Havering Colleges’ Ardleigh Green campus is found at the junction of Ardleigh Green Road with Nelmes Way in Hornchurch. It is easily accessible by public transport and has a large car park on site.– the 256 and 294 buses stop directly outside the gates or Gidea Park and Emerson Park Stations are about a 20-minute walk. Ardleigh Green has a large car park for staff, students and visitors. 

It is the largest of the Havering campuses and houses students studying an exceptionally wide range of courses from Entry Level to Postgraduate degrees.  We have approximately 2,200 young people aged 16-19.  We also have a very small group of pre-16 students and approximately 1,200 adults enrolled here. 

Students at Ardleigh Green often progress to higher levels of study, sometimes with us, sometimes with other providers. The vast majority of our students progress to high quality positive destinations, including university, higher level apprenticeships and employment.
