Applications are invited for this major post at Whitgift starting in September 2020. The School is at an extremely exciting point in its development, and we are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join the Senior Leadership Team.

The Senior Deputy will be the Headmaster’s principal Deputy, deputising for him as necessary, and will demonstrate the vision, courage and commitment required to excel in the post.  The successful applicant will contribute to the overall implementation of the School’s strategic vision as well as being responsible for the day-to-day management of a community of approximately 1500 boys at this leading boy’s school.

A generous salary will be offered, reflecting both the significant responsibilities involved and the qualities of the candidate.  There is a large and attractive Deputy Head’s house in the school grounds, and it is customary that the successful candidate lives there.

Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1500 pupils including over one hundred boarding pupils and flexi-boarding pupils.  It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey and the south coast.
