Role: Senior Financial Accountant

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30 to 17.00 (37.5h per week, with an hour unpaid for lunch)

Location: The Haberdashers School, Elstree, Hertfordshire

Reporting to: Director of Finance 


Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team across Haberdashers' Elstree Schools. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead internal and external reporting, Audit and Controls frameworks, budgeting & planning. You will line manage the Management Accountant and Payroll and Pensions Manager and take the lead on Finance systems and accounting. 


Person Specification

Qualifications:

  • CIMA or ACCA Qualified


Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience post qualification
  • Good knowledge and experience of technical accounting including Taxation, specifically VAT
  • Charity accounting experience 
  • Line Management experience 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to organise and prioritise work
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
