We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, qualified English teacher to lead our English Faculty. This is a dynamic department with students making outstanding progress at all levels, an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to move onto Senior Leadership in the future.
You will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the subject area, raising standards of student attainment and achievement and monitoring and supporting their progress. You will develop and enhance the teaching practice of others, facilitating and encouraging a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
What we are looking for:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
- An energetic, enthusiastic person with a passion for education and making a difference
- Effective team leadership and management, with the ability to motivate others to high expectations
- Evidence of consistently good/outstanding lessons, and of raising achievement in present post
