Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Senior ICT Technician to support IT provision across Sir William Stanier School. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious technician to join our team as we expand and strengthen IT provision across the growing trust.

The post holder will be proficient in coordinating an ICT Service that provides an efficient and effective ICT Technical Support Service to pupils and staff, maintain network documentation and implement all policies and procedures relating to IT and acceptable use.  They will ensure safe operation and maintenance of ICT technologies; this may include reprographics and AV equipment such as lighting and sound systems to Apple iPads and LightSpeed MDN.

The Senior Technician will support the use of ICT through the maintenance of software, hardware and related equipment, and providing support to staff and pupils to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in the management and troubleshooting of networked systems and working knowledge of effective service management methodologies (FITS/ ITIL or similar) as well as possess the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with users of all abilities and seniority across the school and Trust.

This is a full-time role working term time plus 4 weeks (42 weeks per year).

Actual salary for hours and weeks: £20,120 - £22,658
