Job overview

This is a fantastic time to be joining our ICT Support Team as we embed our strategic ICT plan which places digital technology at the heart of our curriculum. The aim is to develop skills for a seamless transition towards further education and the workplace for our students and so we are looking for a passionate Senior Technician to lead on the technical aspects of ICT across the school.

The vision at LHA is not to replace high-quality teaching with devices but rather, enhance what we know about effective learning and teaching with technology. We have asked ourselves: will developing the use of student devices at LHA help students know more, remember more and do more?

The answer is a resounding YES!

As a school we embraced Remote Learning during the pandemic and there is a strong appetite for continued technological developments. We would like the successful Technician to work alongside the Curriculum Leader for Digital in continuing to bring about planned change.

Do you have what it takes to make a difference and help others succeed?

Do you believe you can inspire the leaders, innovators and thinkers of tomorrow?

Do you want to join a team of committed educators, continually striving to deliver the best teaching and learning to young people in a culture of research based learning and development. If so, joining LHA might just be the best career move you ever make.

We welcome applications from candidates with school experience, but this is not essential.

Lostock Hall Academy is a wonderful school to work at where you can be part of a very supportive team. Teachers and support staff here work extremely hard in the best interests of all of the students.

We like to develop the potential in all of our staff so CPD is offered and encouraged. Being a small school allows us to easily share best practice and our experienced members of staff gain satisfaction from passing on knowledge.

If you are passionate about supporting young people to achieve the very best outcomes, then we would like to hear from you.

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 29th November 2022 9am

Ofsted

“Most teaching enables students to achieve well. Teachers and support staff work hard to meet the needs of their students by providing engaging and varied activities that build sequentially and promote their understanding. Teachers are working hard to support students’ literacy and numeracy skills including through the ‘ready to learn’ sessions at the start of the day, which include opportunities for problem solving and private reading”.
