Barton Peveril Sixth Form College are currently looking for a Senior IT Services Technician to join our dynamic IT Services team in the delivery of a proactive service for students and staff. The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of technical support for the College IT provision including maintaining desktop computers and mobile devices, maintaining server and network resources, and deploying applications.

You will have excellent customer service skills with a positive and proactive approach. You will anticipate problems and suggest solutions as well as reacting to specific system faults and errors which are at times complex and unusual.

You will have strong technical experience and skills to support a diverse and developing IT infrastructure that incorporates Windows, Chrome OS and Apple based resources. Technical experience and skills are required to support Windows 10, Mac OSX, Chromebooks, mobile devices, BYOD, Google G Suite for Education, and Windows and Linux servers.

You will maintain and develop appropriate systems and provide clear and concise documentation for both technical and non-technical users. You will be an important source of support and advice for staff and students in the operation of digital learning resources, specialist resources, and administrative systems.
