Livingstone Academy Bournemouth (LAB) is looking to appoint highly motivated, dynamic and innovative individuals with the desire to be part of a brand-new school; to help shape, grow and ensure the success of our new-build secondary school. The school opened in 2021, growing to a roll of 1500 students, aged 4-18, by September 2027, with an exciting final phase addition of a sixth form to open in September 2026. We are a heavily oversubscribed school and highly regarded.

We have an exciting opportunity for a conscientious and dedicated Senior Science Technician to join our science faculty and lead the school’s technician team.

The hours of work for this role will be 36 hours per week/39 weeks per year (0.82 FTE)

**Discussion around flexible hours is possible**

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a science lab and a good knowledge of chemicals routinely used within schools, and all health and safety matters relevant to the laboratory environment. They will also need to be computer literate, work proactively and independently, take the initiative when required and be approachable and adaptable.

Your organisational skills must be excellent as responsibilities will include; maintaining equipment, setting up experiments prior to lessons taking place, ordering and stock control, maintaining budgets and more.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to sustaining academic excellence, helping every child succeed and the potential to be an excellent classroom practitioner. As well as being able to; work as part of a team, roll up your sleeves and inspire others to excel.
