We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic member of the Science Learning Area interested in pursuing a career in teaching or someone who is suitably skilled with a passion for the Sciences, capable of establishing outstanding relationships with staff and students alike. Primarily the role is to prioritise tasks to enable teaching staff to deliver Science lessons which are well resourced.
This is an exciting time to join St Wilfrid's. As an Academy we are forward thinking, yet hold tight to firm educational values which brings about examination success. We have recently launched a 1:1 mobile device scheme where every student in KS3 and KS4 have their own iPad. This innovation alongside an Immersive classroom space and iMac suite, ensures staff have the opportunity to utilise technology to inspire, enthuse and capture learning to bring about success.
The successful applicant will:
- Be passionate about Science and have a clear understanding of current safeguarding guidance;
- Be organized, able to work in a methodical manner whilst showing iniatiave;
- Have a level of digital competency alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

- Contribute to the wider life and distinctive ethos of the Academy.

St Wilfrid’s Church of England Academy provides a faith-led education for 11 to 18 year olds serving the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen and parts of Pennine Lancashire.
