Senior Leadership Position within the Extended Primary Leadership Team (Enrichment)
The Kuala Lumpur Alice Smith School (KLASS) is fully accredited as a British School Overseas by the Department for Education in London, receiving an ‘Outstanding’ grade in its last inspection. Our school has an established reputation for excellence, and as a not-for-profit educational foundation, all resources are focused on the development and well-being of students. Located on two sites in Kuala Lumpur with excellent facilities, it has a total student population of approximately 1,600 and caters for the full age range from 3 to 18 years.

The Extended Primary Leadership Team (EPLT) position is a senior leadership role reporting to the Vice Principals. The EPLT will support the Principal and Vice Principals in the strategic direction of the school. EPLT members, of which there are five, help to support the day to day running of the campus and lead on core subjects (as negotiated). The successful applicant will also lead the school’s enrichment programme.
Proven experience of excellence in teaching, middle or senior leadership, leading core subjects, and a knowledge of what makes a successful enrichment programme are essential. Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, along with a drive, energy, enthusiasm and strong commitment to the wider education of students through co-curricular activities are required.
The EPLT position is non-classroom based; however, the post holder is expected to cover some leadership release time (equivalent to 2 days per week). Other duties include: line managing specialist subjects, participating in quality assurance practices and supporting class teachers with the curriculum.

They must be dedicated to developing professionally and should be proficient in using technology to enhance learning. KLASS Teachers are dedicated and are expected to go the extra mile.
